Free Fall
My long and winding road has led me to what feels like a huge opening in the earth ... an opening that is disguised by my inability to peer over it. A precipice of potentially enormous magnitude.
The sky above me is a breath-taking cerulean blue. Yet in the distance, I see dark black storm clouds gathering. Or are those clouds simply a figment of my imagination?
The cliff itself looks harmless enough. And yet, it requires absolutely everything of me. Everything.
Am I ready for this free fall? Are any of us really 'ready' for the very hard things that God calls us to? I cling with absolute resolution, not to the cliff, but the One who provides the parachute and the wind with which to land at the bottom, alive.
