The Wheels on the School
Just to get out of sick bay last week, we took our school on the road. It was Thursday morning and I had no idea that snow was on the way. I just knew we needed to get out of the house, immediately! So, I loaded all of our students and we headed to drop off library books and make one quick stop to look for Easter clothes.
What fun it was to have 'Rectangle time' instead of 'Circle Time' ... actually, with the shape we make in the car without Dad, it should be some type of 'Pentagonal Time.' We said our 'Pledge of Allegiance' and sang every patriotic song we know. We listened to Geography tunes on the CD player as we headed down the highway.
It is amazing what you can accomplish in a very short period of time in a confined space. This school will take to the streets in May when we are heading to Houston for a NASA visit, to South Padre Island for a birthday celebration and then stops in San Antonio & Austin for a variety of field trips. Oh, and we are borrowing a travel trailer from our friends... so, how many wheels does that make on the school???
